FP1: Bottas Heads The Field

FP1 Spanish GP FP1 Spanish GP – Valtteri Bottas ended the first free practice session in Barcelona on top, setting a time of 1:18.142. Track conditions were tricky for the drivers, and plenty went off track as they all put in the laps around the Circuit de Catalunya. Bottas's Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton was second over eight-tenths down on Bottas. Sebastian Vettel headed his teammate Kimi Raikkonen although nearly a second down on Botta's time with Raikkonen 1.351sec down on the fastest time of the session.
