Wolff: A good starting point
Toto Wolff has given a cautious response to Liberty Media's blueprint for the future, saying it is a 'good starting point.' Last year when Liberty Media released their initial proposal for the 2021 regulations, both Mercedes and Ferrari balked. While the latter outright threatened to quit the sport, Wolff said a breakaway series that included Ferrari would appeal to Mercedes. However, following Friday's announcement of Liberty's five-point plan for the future, Wolff has been a bit more circumspect in his response. He told Auto Motor und Sport: 'It's good that we know now what Liberty and the FIA plans for the future of F1. 'It's a good starting point for further negotiations.'
