Alonso ‘very happy' with ‘perfect' run

Fernando Alonso was in good spirits after McLaren completed a monster final day at the first pre-season test. The Spaniard was given some extra time in the MCL33 on Thursday afternoon to make up for a wheel nut issue on day one and the continuous bad weather. Alonso hopped back in once team-mate Stoffel Vandoorne racked up 110 laps in the new Renault-powered car and took McLaren's overall day four total to 161 laps – the most of any team. “I’m very happy with what has been an impressive day from the whole team in the garage and at the factory to put that amount of laps on the board between Stoffel and myself,” said Alonso. “The car ran perfectly all day.
