Punta del Este announced as Sao Paulo replacement
The Punta del Este ePrix will return to the Formula E calendar as Sao Paulo’s replacement after the race was postponed. The maiden Brazilian round of the all-electric series was pushed back to 2019 at the request of the event organisers, as the privatisation of the land the race would be held on had not yet been completed. The race will be held on March 17, taking Sao Paulo’s original spot for the 2017/18 calendar which remains at 14 races through 11 events, as approved by the World Motor Sport Council at a meeting in Paris on Wednesday.
