Pietro Fittipaldi 'pushing hard' to become next Brazilian in F1
Felipe Massa's retirement from F1 at the end of the year will create a void of Brazilian drivers in the sport, but it is one Pietro Fittipaldi hopes to fill in the coming years. The 21-year-old grandson of two-time world champion Emerson Fittipaldi secured the Formula V8 3.5 title last week in Bahrain, a conclusive step towards his ambition of bringing the family name back to F1. Fittipaldi also took part in yesterday's WEC rookie test in Bahrain, driving Porsche's 919 Hybrid LMP1 car, but his plans for 2018 have yet to be determined.
