Felipe Massa to retire from F1 at end of 2017

Felipe Massa has announced that he will retire from Formula 1 at the end of the 2017 season. Massa intended to exit the sport 12 months ago but was tempted out of retirement to continue at Williams for 2017, in the wake of Valtteri Bottas' Mercedes switch, as a replacement for Nico Rosberg. However, Massa confirmed on Saturday that the upcoming two events will be his last in the sport, bringing down the curtain on a distinguished career, which has yielded 11 wins and the runner-up spot in the 2008 championship.
