Halo won't lead to production delays, insists Haas' Steiner

Haas boss Guenther Steiner has played down fears F1 teams could face manufacturing delays for 2018 because of the late introduction of the Halo cockpit protection device. The FIA has made the safety component mandatory for 2018, but teams were only recently made aware of the element's specifications and how it is to be integrated in to a chassis design. The late information prompted fears that some teams may not be ready in time for pre-season testing early next season, but Steiner there will be any complications.
