Gasly 'can't wait' to get to work in Malaysia
Pierre Gasly is understandably thrilled to be handed his first proper opportunity to show what he can really do in a Formula 1 car. The current GP2 champion will drive for Toro Rosso in this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix, replacing regular driver Daniil Kvyat. "Very happy to join Toro Rosso for the Malaysian GP!" he said on Twitter after the official announcement. "Can't wait to start my first F1 GP this weekend." Although he's currently the test and reserve driver for Red Bull Racing, Gasly hasn't had the opportunity to take part in any free practice sessions before now.
