Alonso: Best way to enjoy the break

Achieving McLaren's first double points-haul of 2017, Fernando Alonso is hoping for a stronger second half of the season. The double World Champion claimed his best finish of this season when he crossed the line sixth at Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix. With his team-mate Stoffel Vandoorne P10 on the day, the result marked McLaren's first double top-ten showing of the season. 'We finished the first half of the season with a very good race in Budapest, both McLaren cars in the points,' Alonso said. 'It is the best way to enjoy the break now in August. 'Hopefully in the second half of the season we'll be even stronger.' Sunday's result has elevated McLaren to ninth on the log with 11 points.
