Vasseur named new Sauber boss

Former Renault chief Frederic Vasseur is joining Sauber as their new team principal. Vasseur, who spent just a single season at Renault in 2016, had quickly emerged as the leading contender after Sauber's owners parted company with Monisha Kaltenborn ahead of the Azerbaijan GP last month. Frenchman Vasseur has vast experience in the junior categories and worked with a number of the grid's leading drivers. He will start work at Sauber on July 17, the day after this weekend's British GP.
