Renault balance "not good enough" despite updates – Hulkenberg

Nico Hulkenberg "wasn't impressed" with the balance of his Renault car on long runs at Sochi, despite the French manufacturer having brought updates to the Russian GP to address its race pace deficit. Hulkenberg qualified seventh in China and Bahrain, but only managed to take two points away from the two rounds, with the RS17 performing much better over one lap than in race trim. Having identified a lack of car balance as a likely factor behind its race pace deficiencies, Renault trialled aero updates – headlined by a new front wing – in the Bahrain test, with Hulkenberg saying on Thursday in Sochi that he was expecting the new parts to "take the car a step forward"....
