Hamilton describes 'difficult' opening day
– Lewis Hamilton described a "difficult" first day at the Russian Grand Prix as main rival Ferrari displayed strong short- and long-run pace through practice.Ferrari topped both of Friday's sessions at Sochi Autodrom, Kimi Räikkönen leading the way in FP1 before Vettel headed a one-two in FP2.Mercedes is unbeaten at the venue, situated in and around the Olympic Park, but Hamilton expects a challenge from Vettel and Räikkönen over the course of the weekend."[It was] a bit of a difficult day for us," said Hamilton."We managed to complete everything that we needed to do on our runs, but in terms of the balance of the car, the Ferrari seemed very, very fast...
