Steiner: ‘No quick fix' to Formula 1's problems

Haas team principal Gunther Steiner has warned that it may be some time before Formula 1 gets its competitive edge back. Ferrari and Mercedes look poised for a tight title tussle this season but, while Steiner is happy to see two teams battle it out, he wants more to enter the fray so that the sport can attract new fans. “It’s fantastic for Formula One to have two teams fighting for the lead,' Steiner said via the official Haas website. 'I think there should be 10 teams fighting for the win, but that in the short term is difficult. I think F1 is working to make the field tighter, but I don’t know how that would be achieved.
