Alonso reassures McLaren over future

Fernando Alonso will not hold talks with any other team until he has spoken to McLaren first, according to team boss Zak Brown. Alonso's £32million-a-year deal with McLaren-Honda will expire at the end of the season, sparking plenty of rumours about where he will drive for the 2018 season and beyond. But the double World Champion will sit down with his current team first before assessing his options elsewhere. 'Fernando has told us that he will not speak to anyone before he speaks to us,' said Brown. 'We are happy with that.  'He is a great driver and he is working very hard. Relations are good.'
