Sainz Jr. relieved after Q1, Q2 struggles
– Carlos Sainz Jr. says he was relieved to take eighth on the grid for the Australian Grand Prix after struggling with the balance of his STR12 during the early stages of qualifying.Sainz Jr. placed seventh in second practice, emerging as the lead midfield runner, and urged Toro Rosso not to relax, off the back of its encouraging pace.Sainz Jr. conceded that he lost confidence amid an ill-handling car when qualifying began, and scraped into Q2 in 10th place, before improving to eighth in Q3, beating team-mate Daniil Kvyat."We can call it a good day, but not a perfect one," Sainz Jr. explained after the session."We started qualifying very far off in balance and didn't...
