Williams to miss final day of first test

– Williams has confirmed that it will not participate during the final day of action at the first test due to the damage sustained in Lance Stroll's crash on Wednesday.Stroll, having spun off through the middle sector shortly before the lunch break, ended Williams' running for the day when he crashed on the exit of Turn 5.Williams held hopes of repairing the damage in order for Stroll and team-mate Felipe Massa to carry out wet-weather running, but the team has had to abandon its test prematurely."Following a thorough inspection overnight some damage to the FW40 chassis was discovered and therefore, on safety grounds, the team will not run the car today," read a...
