Sauber confirms Giovinazzi will replace Wehrlein in Barcelona test

The Sauber team has confirmed Antonio Giovinazzi will replace Pascal Wehrlein in the first Formula 1 test of 2017 at Barcelona. Wehrlein, who has joined the Sauber team for the upcoming season, was involved a huge crash during the Race of Champions event on January 21st. Wehrlein lost control of his car and crashed into the car driven by Felipe Massa, flipping over Massa's left-front wheel and hitting the barriers. The former Manor driver appeared to be unscathed, but Sauber revealed earlier this month that he was still undergoing medical checks. The first test that kicks off on February 27 in Spain.
