Sauber wins race to run first F1 2017 car on track

Sauber became the first team to run its 2017 Formula 1 car on track when its Ferrari-powered C36 completed a shakedown ahead of pre-season testing. The Swiss outfit took the wraps off its new F1 challenger on Monday, and has now completed a filming day at Barcelona on Wednesday with Marcus Ericsson behind the wheel.  Ericsson’s 2017 team-mate Pascal Wehrlein was also present but is currently unable to drive due to a back injury sustained in last month’s Race of Champions event.
