Toto Wolff and Niki Lauda extend Mercedes deals to 2020

Mercedes has confirmed that Head of Motorsport Toto Wolff and non-executive Chairman Niki Lauda have extended their contracts with the team through to the end of 2020. Wolff joined Mercedes from Williams in 2013, shortly after three-time F1 champion Lauda linked up with the manufacturer, as it plotted its path to the top of the sport. Mercedes has won three successive double championships since 1.6 litre V6 power units were introduced at the start of the 2014 season, taking 51 wins from 59 races. It marks the latest stage in a busy winter for Mercedes, with Valtteri Bottas having replaced retired champion Nico Rosberg, while James Allison will start work next week as its new Technical...
