Mugen confirmed as Pierre Gasly's Super Formula team

Red Bull reserve driver Pierre Gasly will race for the Honda-powered Mugen team in the Japan-based Super Formula championship this season. Red Bull had already confirmed that Gasly would compete in Super Formula, though had not yet attached the youngster to a team. During Honda’s announcement of its 2017 motorsport programmes on Monday, Gasly’s move to Mugen was duly confirmed. Gasly’s arrival means Mugen will expand to a two-car team for this year, joining incumbent Naoki Yamamoto.
