Rosberg accepts ambassadorial role at Mercedes

F1 world champion Nico Rosberg has accepted an ambassadorial role with the Mercedes team, the German squad said on Monday. Rosberg shocked the world when he announced his retirement from racing just one day after clinching his first F1 title in November. The German has not revealed any plans to continue involved in motorsport, but Mercedes said on Monday that Rosberg will have an ambassadorial role this year. Rosberg's first commitment will on Tuesday in Geneva, alongside former teammate Lewis Hamilton, at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) on behalf of team partner IWC Schaffhausen.
