Vandoorne: Everything I’ve done is about preparing for 2017
Stoffel Vandoorne is chomping at the bit to get his first full season as a Formula 1 driver underway, and admits everything he is doing these days is with an eye on racing for McLaren in his rookie season. He told his team's website, 'Everything I’ve done up until now has been about preparing for next season. It’s still a very long way away, and there are still a lot of things to go through before I get in the new car for the first time. I can’t wait to get in the car to begin winter testing.” Vandoorne made his grand prix debut in Bahrain last year, replacing injured Fernando Alonso, and promptly scored points in his first race for the team.
