Williams admits it may let Bottas leave

– Williams has admitted that it would consider letting Valtteri Bottas join Mercedes for 2017, as Nico Rosberg's replacement, but only in the event that "an experienced, credible alternative was available".Rosberg's shock decision to retire has opened up a space alongside Lewis Hamilton, with Bottas, who has raced for Williams since 2013, emerging as Mercedes' primary target.Williams, however, has signed 18-year-old Lance Stroll to its second seat, with technical chief Pat Symonds recently describing it as "crucial" that the squad holds on to Bottas.According to BBC Sport, Mercedes offered Williams a reduction of 10m (£8.4m) to its engine bill, in return for...
