Wehrlein explains Force India snub

Pascal Wehrlein says the reason why he lost out to Manor team-mate Esteban Ocon for a Force India promotion is that the Frenchman “fitted better into the team” when testing for them in 2015. Fresh off his DTM title, the German delivered a strong rookie Formula One season, highlighted by his 10th-place, point-scoring finish at the Austrian Grand Prix and quintet of Q2 appearances in qualifying. But the Mercedes protégé, who had also ran for Force India last year, was overlooked when the Silverstone-based outfit had to replace the Renault-bound Nico Hulkenberg. Silbermann says...
