Williams laments 2016 season
According to Williams Deputy Principal Claire Williams, they failed to reach their targets in 2016 after finishing fifth on the Constructors’ Championship. The Grove-based outfit suffered their worst season since the regulation changes in 2014 as they failed pip Force India on the Championship table. Williams refused to pinpoint a direct cause of their dismal 2016 campaign but explained that there were a number of issues that need attention next season. However, looking ahead to the future, Williams is optimistic that they can regroup and put in solid performances in 2017, with rookie driver Lance Stroll stepping in and replacing Felipe Massa.
