Wehrlein ‘ready' for a Mercedes promotion
Pascal Wehrlein believes he is 'ready' to step up should Mercedes decide that he is the best man to replace Nico Rosberg. Wehrlein entered Formula 1 this past season on the back of a championship-winning campaign in Germany's DTM series. He made history in Austria when he became only the second driver to score for Manor as he took the chequered flag in tenth place at the Red Bull Ring. With several appearances in Q2, the 22-year-old's season ended with a ‘Rookie of the Year' prize at the Autosport Awards.
