Zak Brown appointed McLaren's new executive director

The McLaren Technology Group has confirmed that Zak Brown will be appointed to the position of executive director on a soon-to-be-finalised date next month. Brown's appointment comes after chairman Ron Dennis was forced to step down last week by McLaren's shareholders. Brown, who founded Just Marketing International (JMI), which has grown to become motorsport's largest marketing agency, recently stepped down from his company, with speculation linking him to a role at Liberty Media following its recent takeover of Formula 1.
