Ocon held Renault talks before SFI deal

– Mercedes protégé Esteban Ocon has revealed that he held talks with Renault over a 2017 seat before he was signed by Force India on a two-year agreement.Ocon graduated to Formula 1 with Manor mid-season, having acted as Renault's test driver across the opening half of the campaign, and had been linked to a 2017 seat at the team.However, Nico Hülkenberg's move to Renault opened a vacancy at Force India, with the outfit confirming last week that it had recruited Ocon in a multi-year deal."I can confirm that there had been talks with Renault – but I can't say why I didn't go there," Ocon explained to the official Formula 1 website."And to be honest the only thing...
