Dennis forced to stand down at McLaren

– Ron Dennis has confirmed that he is to step down as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the McLaren Technology Group, which includes the Formula 1 team, after a 36-year tenure.Dennis, 69, took over McLaren in 1980, steering it to an array of Constructors' and Drivers' titles, but the majority shareholders have now placed him on gardening leave until his contract expires.Dennis remains on the the boards of both the McLaren Technology Group and McLaren Automotive Limited, as well as a significant shareholder in both companies."I am disappointed that the representatives of TAG and Mumtalakat, the other main shareholders in McLaren, have forced through this decision to place...
