Mercedes team member robbed at gunpoint

Mercedes has revealed that an unnamed team member was robbed at gunpoint earlier in the week. 'The incident involved a team member travelling from the airport towards the city on Wednesday when in heavy stationary traffic,' said a team spokesman. 'Wallets and watches were taken, however, there were no physical injuries but they were a little shaken up for obvious reasons.' While similar incidents have taken place over the years over the course of the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend, this is the first time it has happened in Mexico, though this is only the second running of the event following a 22-year break.
