– Lewis Hamilton became only the third driver in history to reach 50 Formula 1 victories after triumphing in the United States Grand Prix. Here, GPUpdate.net charts his journey to the half-century.2007 – 4 wins (Canada, United States, Hungary, Japan) Hamilton launched onto the Formula 1 scene in 2007 with McLaren, joining up with incoming double World Champion Fernando Alonso. Hamilton claimed his maiden victory during an attrition-filled Canadian Grand Prix and backed it up a week later by prevailing in an intra-team fight against Alonso.
