Verstappen and Ricciardo agreed with split tyre strategy - Horner

Red Bull boss Christian Horner insists that Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen have been given the starting tyre strategies they wanted ahead of the United States Grand Prix. Ricciardo opted to use supersofts in Q2 at COTA, meaning he will start the race with the softest compound – unlike Verstappen, who chose the soft compound. Although Mercedes followed the soft route with both cars, indicating that it is the optimum choice, Horner says Ricciardo was happy to go with supersofts for the start of the race.
