Rosberg hits back to lead Hamilton in COTA FP2

Nico Rosberg has ended the opening day of action for the United States Grand Prix at the head of the timesheets after out-pacing title rival Lewis Hamilton at Circuit of the Americas. After trailing Hamilton in FP1, Rosberg's super-soft run early on in FP2 would see him come out on top with a 1min 37.358s lap, three tenths faster than his fellow Mercedes driver down in third. Between them, Daniel Ricciardo demonstrated Red Bull's potential pace around the Austin venue with an eye-catching lap that would take him to second fastest, two tenths adrift of Rosberg and a tenth up on Hamilton.
