McLaren: Austin will not see repeat of Suzuka struggles

McLaren duo Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button are confident McLaren won't face a repeat of its Suzuka struggles in Austin this weekend, despite some similarities between the two circuits. The high-speed longer corners of Suzuka exposed a weakness in McLaren's aerodynamics and engine characteristics which meant Alonso and Button struggled for form a fortnight ago. But although the opening sector of the Circuit of the Americas mirrors high-speed sections at Suzuka, both drivers are optimistic that things won't be so bad this time out.
