Bottas' one-stop strategy rewards fifth
Malaysian Grand Prix – Williams driver Valtteri Bottas finished the Malaysian Grand Prix in fifth place after successfully managing his tyres on a one-stop strategy. The 27-year-old started the race in 11th place on a set of new medium tyres and pitted on lap 28. After fitting the hard compound, the Finn was able to keep ahead of Sergio Perez’s Force India. The points were important for Williams as the team moves within just three points of Force India’s fourth place in the Constructors Championship. “I think it was a very good day for us,” said Bottas, “we definitely got everything there was to get from today. “The start was good, we were able to make our planned strategy...
