Vettel hopes to fight for podium finish

– Sebastian Vettel hopes that Ferrari will be able to challenge Red Bull for a podium finish during Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix.Ferrari started the weekend as the nearest challenger to Mercedes, but had to settle for fifth and sixth in qualifying, behind Red Bull.Vettel, having trailed team-mate Kimi Räikkönen for the majority of the session, narrowly moved ahead on the decisive runs in Q3."The gap to Mercedes is quite big; they seem to have more than half second on everyone – if they lose the race it will be big news, so it's in their hands," Vettel explained to reporters after qualifying."But you never know.
