Magnussen uninjured as Renault bursts into flames

Renault suspect that a fuel breather system caused a spectacular fire that engulfed Kevin Magnussen's car during the first free practice of the Malaysian Grand Prix weekend. Magnussen had completed his first installation lap and was being wheeled back into the Renault pit garage when flames erupted around the engine cover area. He managed to leap to safety as team crew fought the flames, but with fuel continuing to leak as the car burnt, it took about 10 minutes to bring the situation fully under control.
