Marcus Ericsson escapes injury after hitting a big chicken in Thailand

Malaysian Grand Prix – Sauber's Marcus Ericsson says that he is fit to race this weekend after being involved in an unusual training accident in Thailand. Ericsson was attending a boot camp in Thailand ahead of this weekend' Malaysian GP, when he fell from his bike while training. The Swedish driver struck a ‘big chicken' while on his bike, and fell off. He picked up some cuts and bruises in the fall, saying he was going around 45 km/h when he hit the bird. Cycling has had some high profile F1 casualties in recent years, with Mercedes' Toto Wolff breaking his wrist, shoulder and elbow in an accident in 2014, while Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber badly broke his leg in a...
