F1 2017 cars set to be 4.5 seconds a lap faster

Pirelli have revealed that the upcoming 2017 Formula One cars are set to be 4.5 seconds faster after numerous tyre tests have been carried out with top F1 teams.  Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull have all tested the 2017-spec Pirelli tyres that are set to be introduced next year, and notably the teams who have tested have placed innovative aerodynamic devices on their old-spec cars in order to simulate the downforce levels next year.
