Arrivabene littering bust bogus say Singapore authorities

Authorities in Singapore have rubbished reports that Ferrari chief Maurizio Arrivabene was bust for littering during the city's grand prix weekend. Spanish newspapers claimed that Arrivabene was fined '$1,000 and detained for six hours' flicking a cigarette butt onto a pavement. However Channel NewsAsia reports that Singapore's National Environment Agency (NEA) – which polices and fines litterbugs – said no such incident took place. “Reports in the international media on this matter are bogus,” said the agency.
