Sergio Perez gets eight-place grid penalty for yellow flag infringements

Sergio Perez has been hit with an eight-place grid penalty for Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix after he was caught speeding and overtaking under yellow flags. The Force India driver had qualified tenth, but will drop to 18th, promoting those behind him a place each. Perez was summoned to the stewards after qualifying for failing to slow sufficiently during Q2 when yellow flags came out for both Romain Grosjean's crashed Haas and Jenson Button's stranded McLaren. That earned him a five-place grid penalty, but the stewards handed a further three-places for overtaking Esteban Gutierrez during double waved yellow flags.
