Verstappen becomes youngest front row starter

Belgian Grand Prix – Max Verstappen continues to break records as he became the youngest front row starter with second in qualifying at Spa. The previous record was held by Ricardo Rodriguez, who claimed it at the 1961 Italian Grand Prix at the age of nineteen. The Dutch driver was just over a tenth of a second away from Nico Rosberg on pole, taking his first front row start in Formula One in front of what is considered his home crowd, as it is the closest race to his native country of the Netherlands and he was born in Belgium. “It’s a great feeling.
