Manor Racing appoints Rio Haryanto as a Reserve Driver
Manor Racing have announced Rio Haryanto will remain with the team after accepting a Reserve Driver role. The Banbury based squad confirmed on Wednesday that they had terminated Haryanto's contract, after he was unable to provide the funding to keep his 2016 Formula 1 season seat. With both him and his management trying to secure further funding, it has been unsuccessful. Leading to the team terminating his contract and signing Esteban Ocon for the remainder of the season. The Frenchman will step-up to an F1 seat when the second half of the season continues in Belgium later this month.
