Haryanto loses Manor race-seat
Rio Haryanto's race to secure the funds needed to remain a Manor race driver ended on Wednesday with the news that he has been demoted to a test driver role. According to reports Haryanto needed to raise €7 million to retain his race-seat for the remainder of this season. But, unable to do that, Manor announced on Wednesday that they had taken the decision to terminate his contract as he was unable to meet his contractual obligations. The team, though, has offered him a test driver role for the remaining nine rounds of the championship. 'Rio has been a much-valued member of our team since January, when we signed a contract with him for this season,' said racing director Dave Ryan....
