Hamilton withdrawn early from FP2 due to track limits concerns

German Grand Prix – Mercedes' Paddy Lowe has revealed that the team opted to compromise Lewis Hamilton's FP2 program due to being on his final warning for exceeding track limits. The track limits sensor at Turn 1 is being operated on a ‘three strikes' rule this weekend, with race director Charlie Whiting outlining that exceeding the limits on three occasions or more will result in the offending driver being reported to the stewards and facing possible reprimand or penalty.
