Rosberg quickest as Hamilton crashes

Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg moved to the front of the time sheets during the second practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix as Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton crashed out. Rosberg and Hamilton were separated by just 0.001s in the Briton’s favour on the Soft tyres when he clipped the entry kerb on the outside of Turn 11 and spun into the barriers. Hamilton suffered a side impact and though he was able to crawl back to the garage, his session was truncated after only four laps. Mercedes confirmed that his W07 Hybrid needed to be fully stripped and checked after the impact with the barriers.
