Youngsters get chance to shine during testing

Red Bull/Getty Images Several highly-rated youngsters will have a chance to prove their worth to Formula 1 teams during in-season testing at Silverstone this week. Formula 1 has stayed on after the British Grand Prix to conduct two days of running at Silverstone, with a host of young drivers set to sample machinery from the sport's top echelon. Mercedes will hand both days of running to Esteban Ocon, who is the reigning GP3 champion and also acts as Renault's test and reserve driver. Red Bull will field Pierre Gasly on both days of the test, the Frenchman having collected his maiden GP2 victory last weekend to edge into title contention.
