Alonso encouraged by McLaren midfield scrap

McLaren Honda Fernando Alonso says McLaren cannot be "proud" with its result at the British Grand Prix but nonetheless noted the improvements made by the squad. Alonso was challenging for points when he went off in damp conditions at Abbey and brushed the barriers, losing valuable time and track position. Alonso was able to recover from the incident but came home a low-key 13th, behind team-mate Jenson Button. There’s not much to be proud about after finishing 12th and 13th today.
