Silverstone Qualifying: Lewis hammers them all

Lewis Hamilton delivered a masterful lap to claim pole position for the British Grand Prix, despite his first lap in Q3 being deleted for exceeding track limits, leaving his rivals in his dust including Mercedes teammate and title rival Nico Rosberg. Hamilton's best lap of 1:29.287 was simply too good on the day, Rosberg gave it his best shot but in the end was 0.319 of second slower than the benchmark time. Next up were the Red Bull of Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo, third and fourth respectively albeit nearly a second down on the top time.
