Hamilton tops Friday running at Silverstone

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton set the pace on Friday in practice for this weekend’s British Grand Prix, much to the delight of the partisan home crowd. Hamilton was quickest in both sessions at Silverstone, posting a 1 minute 31.654 second lap in the morning, to leave him just 0.033secs up on Mercedes team-mate and Championship leader, Nico Rosberg. Hamilton then went fastest again in the afternoon, although Rosberg was unable to complete a single timed lap due to a technical problem. Report to follow. Full practice 2 times available HERE.
